Choices that you may have to deal with until your last day of life… after all, were they made with logical reasoning or just pure whim of your desires?

It was a dark, rainy night. John was home alone, surfing the internet. He came across an ad that promised to solve all his problems. Without thinking twice, he clicked on it and was taken to a page full of mental triggers: catchphrases, vibrant colors and seductive images.

John felt something strange, as if someone was manipulating his mind. But he ignored the feeling and continued reading. The more he read, the more he felt attracted to the product.

Suddenly, the light flickered and the ad page disappeared. In its place, a grotesque figure appeared, with empty eyes and a distorted mouth. John tried to close the window, but he couldn’t. The figure spoke to him, in a whispering and terrifying voice: “I am the result of your search. I am the personification of the mental triggers that you unconsciously adore so much. And now, you are mine.”

John felt a chill run down his spine. He tried to scream, but he couldn’t. The figure slowly approached, and João felt his body getting weaker and weaker. He knew he was being manipulated, but it was too late. The monster had defeated him.

And so, on that rainy night, João became yet another victim of mental triggers. What did that creature make him buy on the website? You’ll never know… Maybe he was taken over by his desires and is writing a few words to catch your attention.

But one thing is certain. João discovered the hard way that surfing the internet is a serious matter, where you need to be attentive to the slightest signs of your desires… After all, you’ll never know when the creature will be ready to attack again.
